Every person needs some alone time. We need time to think and be quiet. We need time to process life as it happens. But life is not supposed to be lived alone. Life is best experienced with a group of people living out life by themselves and in the group. Who is in your group or community? Who are you naturally around on a daily basis? You may or may not realize it, but you have a community. Most likely, you have more than one community, but there is one primary group that you influence and that influences you more than any other. This group could consist of 3 people or 50 people. The size does not matter.
Placing yourself in a VitaNovis Gathering allows you to live life within the context of a diverse community of people drawn together by their searching and surroundings. The searching could be for meaning, for answers, for God, for new life, for relationships, or for growth. The surroundings could be a dorm, a work place, a neighborhood, a class, a similar set of circumstances, a club, a sports team, a church, a sorority or fraternity, a social organization, or just a group of friends.
Your VitaNovis Gathering will be a significant community for you. It may or may not be made up of people from your primary community, but these people will be your companions as your life story continues. As much as you will need them, they will also need you
What Happens?
Every person in the group is searching for something. One person will be a discussion motivator (the person who set up the group), and the others will be guests. The discussion motivator is not the teacher or the leader. They are simply the guide for the Gathering to make sure everyone is heard and the group moves through its time efficiently and effectively.
